The History of Little Angels
Little Angels was established in June 2009 with the purpose of improving the level of supervised contact facilities available to families and children in the area. Melanie Stanton founder of Little Angels left West Sussex Children Services where she worked to open her own child contact centre in Haywards Heath as she had identified the lack of supervisors and suitable venues for children and families to use whilst having their contacts.
The company has grown quickly, as its reputation spread, so that it is currently supervising not only for Sussex Children Services but other Children Services in other areas and also for the private sector. These are normally referred by Solicitors, Courts, Psychologist’s, Cafcass, Guardians and other professionals in the care field.
We currently have 3 specialist child contact venues, two based in Haywards Heath and one in Hastings. These are fully equipped with age appropriate toys. Little Angels is accredited at enhanced level by the National Association of Child Contact Centres. All necessary policies and procedures are in place and adhered to at all times. Little Angels have also been awarded a SLA from West Sussex Children Services. and work closely with East Sussex Children Services as well as many other districts.
In 2013 we added the come together programme to our list of services and are recognised throughout the court arena and CAFCASS as offering a high quality service.
Services Little Angels offer are supervised contacts with a detailed report, supported contacts, handovers, a come together programme, early intervention/family support, transport service, school travel service, child care, respite for Foster Carers, hand overs, consultation room hire and contact room hire, out of centre contacts, educational welfare support service, welfare checks, young carers respite, Independence support for 16+ and a domestic violence support network.
We now offer a tailored parenting course, individually developed to suit each family. This can assist with anything from day to day parenting, such as changing nappies, to helping children cope with certain situations, such as break down in relationships. Courses range from one off sessions to extended courses and we will gauge requirement to suit the individual need.
We offer a range of many other services so if you are looking for something that is not listed please ask us for further details.
As well as continued and on-going staff development, our staff are fully trained in a number of areas including but not limited to:
